AlpHa Employees Graduate From Sponsored ESL Classes

With the Houston region now the most ethnically diverse large metropolitan area in the country and Fort Bend ranked as the most diverse county in Texas, it is no coincidence that AlpHa Measurement Solutions’ workforce mirrors this diversity.

At AlpHa, we understand that employing a diverse workforce is not enough; it’s essential to acknowledge and embrace the varied ethnic backgrounds and unique personalities of our team members.  Our commitment extends beyond “diversity,” emphasizing equal treatment aligned with our company’s established Core Values and providing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Recognizing the global origins of our team members, we are dedicated to ensuring that they are not only seen but treated with equality while fostering an environment where everyone can thrive.  To support this vision, AlpHa Measurement Solutions has sponsored several series of classes in which our team members have the chance to actively participate and learn English as a Second Language (ESL), facilitated through collaborations with the Texas Workforce Commission, and the Chinese Community Center, a United Way supported organization.

These ESL classes not only enhance communication within the workforce but also equip our team members with fundamental communication skills for everyday life in America.  This One AlpHa initiative extends far beyond the workplace, empowering our team members to navigate daily interactions, from trips to the grocery store to engaging with teachers at their children’s schools.  Ultimately, our goal is for our team members to build their confidence not just as contributors to our workplace but as valuable members of their broader community.
