ORP in Research & Education
Oxidation-reduction reactions can be topics in secondary and college-level science curricula. Educators often teach the principle of oxidation-reduction reactions and use oxidation-reduction potential (ORP or REDOX) sensors to show the principle in practice. For example, ORP sensors allow students to determine the ability of a species in a solution to act as an oxidizing agent or reducing agent during redox reactions. AlpHa’s oxidation-reduction potential sensors provide measurements that suit both general-purpose and specific research & education needs.
ORP sensors can be custom designed to suit both general purpose or specific research application needs. Trade-offs between performance, durability, and cost-efficiency should be considered when designing a sensor.
