Water quality studies are an interactive way to teach chemistry, biology, environmental science, limnology and other curricula. These studies typically require multiple parameters to be measured simultaneously. Multiparameter sensors and sondes help determine environmental impact assessments on a body of water and assist in restoration projects. There have been situations where school water quality surveys were the first to alert problems. Common parameters combined for water quality studies include pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and various ion-selective electrodes.
