ISE in Food & Beverage

Measuring and monitoring targeted ions in food and beverage applications are critical to the product purity and production efficiency. Ion-selective electrodes (ISE) enable low-level (ppb) detections and real-time monitoring to ensure that food & beverage products meet government and industry standards. The monitoring of various ions play a key role in the following sub-applications:

  • Sodium, chloride, nitrate, and fluoride in processed meat and fish
  • Chloride, fluoride, iodide and calcium in milk and dairy products
  • Sodium, fluoride, and chloride in soft drinks and juices
  • Potassium, sodium, bromide, and calcium in spirits, wine, and beer
  • Nitrate in canned vegetables and baby foods
  • Sodium and potassium in fruit and vegetables
