From advanced laboratory research & development to diagnostic, quality control, and other industrial and commercial testing applications, dissolved oxygen (DO) measurements carry a range of impacts. AlpHa has a variety of invasive and non-invasive (fiberoptic) sensor solutions uniquely tailored to meet the needs of the most challenging laboratory applications, including:
- Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and carbonaceous biochemical oxygen demand (CBOD) levels in wastewater treatment and environmental monitoring
- Measurement of DO in polymers, ink, and organic solvents such as toluene, acetone, and benzene
- Quality control and stability in fuels, biofuels, gasoline, aviation fuel (jet fuel as Jet A-1 or Jet B), kerosene, and more

AlpHa’s DO portfolio includes optical, polarographic, and galvanic sensing technologies, and the flexibility of supplying the entire DO sensing solution or simply a customized electrode, membrane cap, or optical sensing patch. DO solutions feature detection limits down to parts per billion (ppb) and measurement range options of 0 – 200% or 0 – 500% saturation. Output options include analog (4 – 20 mA or 0 – 5 V) or digital (RS-485 MODBUS RTU) formats with the ability to seamlessly integrate with third party equipment.

Fiber and Patch Capabilities
- AP Series
- AP formulation is a highly stable sensor coating with zero drift. Designed for monitoring oxygen partial pressure in gas and dissolved oxygen concentration in liquids for biological environments. AP sensors are compatible with acidic as well as highly caustic environments. Overcoat options exist based on application.
- HCR Series
- HCR is a hydrocarbon-compatible formulation designed to monitor oxygen partial pressure in hydrocarbons such as fuels, organic solvents, oils, and alcohols. Overcoat options exist based on application.
