Conductivity in Food & Beverage

Within the food and beverage industry, conductivity is actively measured in various processes. Prior to production, water pretreatment may involve distillation, reverse-osmosis, ozonation, or other forms of sterilization and filtration. Conductivity sensors are utilized to ensure optimized performance in these processes. During production, conductivity measurements are performed to control the feed of raw materials or ensure the batch is within specification. After production, rinse and cleaning solutions, including clean-in-place (CIP) processes, are monitored by conductivity sensors to ensure performance and water reusability. Food and beverage production can generate wastewater where conductivity is used to ensure effluent meets regulatory requirements. AlpHa has sensor solutions uniquely tailored to each application, including continuous (process) monitoring sensors, laboratory / field electrodes, and cartridge options for multiparameter / sonde.
