Conductivity in Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology
Regulatory drivers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries consider conductivity sensors as critical for maintaining high water quality. Combined with other measurements (pH, DO, etc.), conductivity is monitored in the production process and to treat water purity to specific targets. Examples include autoclave, steam sterilization, and purifying water to USP standards. AlpHa has sensor solutions uniquely tailored to each application, including customizable options for both lab style electrodes and continuous (process) monitoring sensors. Flexible design features enable conductivity sensors to be sterilized by autoclave, gamma radiation, CIP (Cleaning-in-Place), and SIP (Sterilization-in-Place) processes.
