Water quality data collected for environmental monitoring applications is utilized by an assortment of government, education, and commercial organizations. Environmental monitoring systems use quantitative measurements to indicate whether pollution or natural factors, such as algae blooms, acid rain, or storm events, are impacting water sources. Using a multiparameter sensor & sonde provides a convenient and accurate method for collecting data of several parameters simultaneously to ensure a successful environmental monitoring program. Sondes can be placed directly in the targeted body of water whether it be a stream, river, canal, estuary, lake, or reservoir. Alternatively, sondes can be designed for portability and used in the field.
AlpHa’s multiparameter sensor & sonde provide accurate and real-time measurements of common parameters for environmental monitoring such as pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, temperature, and various ion-selective electrodes. Other parameters, such as nitrate and ammonium, can be added based on regional or situational initiatives, highlighting the flexibility of our offering. For example, if agricultural runoff is a known impact, potassium might be added to provide data on fertilizer ingress in the water body.
