Optical brightener monitoring provides a practical and highly visual tool for research institutions and educational programs studying water quality, pollution pathways, and human environmental impact. Because fluorescent whitening agents are directly linked to household wastewater, they serve as an effective tracer for demonstrating real-world contamination dynamics in both laboratory and field settings.
AlpHa’s XC-OBS sensor utilizes patent pending optical technology with the following unique features:
