Within the food and beverage industry, having conductivity sensors is imperative in various processes. Before production, water pretreatment may involve distillation, reverse osmosis, ozonation, or other forms of sterilization and filtration. Conductivity sensors are utilized to ensure optimized performance in these processes. During production, conductivity measurements are performed to control the feed of raw materials or ensure the batch is within specification. After production, rinse and cleaning solutions, including clean-in-place (CIP) processes, are monitored by conductivity sensors to ensure performance and water reusability. Food and beverage production can generate wastewater, where conductivity is used to ensure the effluent meets regulatory requirements.
