Upstream applications include fracking, drilling, and exploratory operations. Downstream applications include wet gas scrubber, merox (mercaptan removal), and wastewater generated within the plant. In refining, where fuel, lubricants, and other distillate end products are generated, and with an understanding of the measured process sample matrix, ORP measurements can be an effective way for monitoring specific chemicals in a process environment. The appropriate housing material (<\/span><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text )\">Hastelloy, PEEK, Kynar, etc.)<\/span><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text )\">\u00a0is selected based upon the sample matrix and temperature requirements. The reference junction is equally as critical.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text )\">The Tuff-Tip is a unique design that provides a low profile guard for the ORP element without protruding prongs that accumulate process material or debris. It incorporates a large ceramic or Teflon junction that reduces the chance of process material fouling the porous junction.
